  1. @ATLpaul Based on my experience with #MORPC's #MTP process, it's very rare for an MTP to include any project until the project has already entered some form of planning. If the rail operator isn't actively working on a 10% or 30% plan, the projects won't be included in the MTP — even if "everyone knows" that the project will happen in a decade, it won't get listed.

"Specific action plan" means _specific_, and "This operator will build a train route from A to B" isn't specific enough.

  2. Even though #BikePlus doesn't extend outside of #Columbus, there are other municipalities in #MORPC, and all contribute their facilities to keep this map updated: morpc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/ins

  3. From the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission:

    > MORPC, Sustainable Columbus, and our regional partners have secured Climate Pollution Reduction Grant funding. This supports climate planning efforts across the 10-county region of Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Perry, Pickaway, & Union counties.

Look at all these transit proposals in the project! They're finally thinking about east-west movement on 161/270!

  5. If you want to see some #carbrained planning, check out #MORPC's proposed new projects for 2024-2027: morpc.org/news/morpc-proposes-

They want to build a whole new greenfield interchange south of SR36 and I-71! It's project 114 in morpc.org/wordpress/wp-content

There's also a lot of new shared-use paths #SUP and new #trails, and the #LinkUS West Broad corridor, but c'mon, a whole new highway?
