Today I was reminded of Egypt's Tahrir Square event by #Maddow pointing out that #AymanMohyeldin was reporting for Al Jaz at the time....but also reminded that #MonaEltahawy #monaeltahawy.bsky.social was someone I was avidly following on the dead bird site at the time, but I also know she's gay, so I hope she's moved offshore somewhere before the Trumpanzees take over. Egypt's developments are something the US should have learned from in terms of the method that Trump used to get on the GOP ballot in the first place. For both the GOP and Egypt, a plurality of votes was set as equal to a majority when it is NOT. -
