Conheça o LineageOS Camelot. É tipo aquele finado leitor super simples, mas agora mantido e atualizado pelo time do LOS.

É só baixar o arquivo "app-debug.apk" e instalar. O Google vai reclamar, mas tem a opção (escondida) "Instalar mesmo assim".
Não precisa ser usuário de LineageOS, só ter uma versão recente do Android, ainda que o padrão da fabricante.
Esqueça Adobe, IA, nuvem de big tech, complicação, menus infinitos. Simplesmente leia os benditos PDF.

@Papeleo #MJpdf nutze ich auch ganz gerne. Das gibt es auch auf #FDroid über das Repo von @IzzyOnDroid : "MJ PDF - A simple PDF viewer" (apk gäbe es bei gitlab) -
when I download a scientifc paper its always in a #PDF file format. When I want to read that on my smartphone, it's not convenient because of the small print and two columns. The #MJPDF app has a 'text-mode' that makes it better to read, but with the downside that figures and tables are removed. Also the bold and headings are gone. Is there a better alternative to read PDF files on a smartphone?

☝️🤓 Darf ich vorstellen: Mein "neuer" Daily-Driver! 🎉 Das handliche S4 Mini, das bald sein 10-Jähriges feiert, kann nun dank frischem Akku noch mal in den Dauereinsatz. Mit #DivestOS läuft der kleine Oldtimer von 2013 immerhin auf Android 11.
📲 Hat jemand ein ähnlich altes oder gar älteres Gerät in Betrieb? Falls ja, gerne berichten...
Ein Jammer, dass so schön kleine Geräte (zudem mit Wechselakku) nicht mehr produziert werden.
Kleines Manko: Auch der Speicher ist ziemlich klein und zwar nur 8 GB(!). Davon werden 3,8 GB vom System und nun 1,8 GB von den von mir installierten Apps belegt. Aber zumindest eine SD-Karte für Musik, Fotos, Karten etc. ist auch noch drin 🎧 .
Zuletzt hatte ich ein Z5 Compact im Einsatz, das jedoch keinen Wechselakku hat. Dass dieser nun schwächelte, war jetzt der Anlass für den Wechsel auf das S4 Mini.

Die von #DivestOS vorinstallierten Apps finde ich allesamt sinnvoll und gut. Keine Bloatware dabei und sie lassen sich sonst auch deinstallieren.
