Mitaki-dera was awesome for today as it was hot in Hiroshima but I think this place is also pretty awesome at a rainy day as the green vegetation might shine even more and the waterfalls have more water too!

Yes you will meet some few tourist as @DO3EET seems to have made it popular with his blogpost in 2024 ;)

Mitaki-dera is also the 13th of Chūgoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage .So also some people following this pilgrimage might pass by.

The entrance "fee" is 200 Yen but no one is there to check but if you pay as a nice person you will hear some sound from the box :D

Mitaki-dera was founded in 809.and its water is used as an offering to the victims of the atomic bomb during the annual Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony.

You can get their via bus line 22 or the Kabe train line Mitake station.
