Lagrange v1.18.4

A Beautiful Gemini Client
Lagrange is a GUI client for browsing Geminispace. It offers modern conveniences familiar from web browsers, such as smooth scrolling, inline image viewing, multiple tabs, visual themes, Unicode fonts, bookmarks, history, and page outlines.
Like Gemini, Lagrange has been designed with minimalism in mind. It depends on a small number of essential libraries. It is written in C and uses SDL for hardware-accelerated graphics. OpenSSL is used for secure communications.

i think i want to implement the server from scratch, rather than use a package. that way I can use the same socket/port for Gemini, Titan, and Misfin, since no existing package seems to let me do that.
what I need then is TLS, and I think the Go standard library has that. (yeah I'm writing it in Go, bite me.)
why am I making a new server from scratch? 1. because that's what you're supposed to do in geminispace, and 2. because that lets me set my own features up, particularly built-in modules like a Web server with HTML output (which should be more flexible, via Go templates; more styling, more HTML... I can even do ACME with it!), automatic and cached format conversions, a Misfin(C) mailbox (and maybe mailing list support??), and gmEditor v3 but built-in as the editor module.
And I'm calling it Saga.

#Misfin is an email-like protocol sibling of #Gemini:
gemini://misfin.org/
It aims to provide a #smolweb #email experience that does less instead of more...
It is a new entry in the Gemini universe that I discovered just now...
Now I am very tempted to do a one month challenge without using the #Fediverse and go wild on Gemini...

A Misfin message is a single string of UTF-8 gemtext, no more than 2,048 characters long. Want to write more? Send two messages.
Oh piss off #Misfin lol you're never gonna be a viable alternative to #email with that arbitrary character limit :reimu_sigh:

I recently became aware of a new small-net protocol (thanks to @wholesomedonut ) —
Misfin
gemini://misfin.org/
https://sr.ht/~lem/misfin/Where the gemini-protocol is an alternative to the gopher-protocol and the Web — Misfin is an alternative to e-mail.
Misfin is tied to the gemini-protocol & gemtext — messages are assumed to be gemtext, server responses are based on gemini-protocol server responses, etc.
