  1. I really enjoy the pattern some #whiteclouds develop after a short time outside. I think in terms of doing the #minipond hobby, this species has much greater potential than #medaka.

Many of the traits you see in medaka comes from 300 years worth of development while #wcmm have only been explored as a #pondfish for maybe 10-15 years. But in terms of desired qualities, #tanichthys hits pretty much every single note unlike the many drawbacks of medaka.

Anyone doing miniponds should try them!

  4. *Wildlife garden update*

Frogs are now permanent residents of hour two mini ponds. Yesterday we also saw this very tiny frog (for reference, it was probably no bigger than 3 cm), which I try to capture on camera, but bear with the limits of my iPhone 12 mini.
We didn’t see tadpoles, so no idea where they came from, but it’s wonderful anyway.

  5. Also, I really liked my mini pond last year. Like it more than an aquarium, fish are meant to be look at from above, not that my fish like to be on the surface much, hence the water lily, it's a "Wanvisa". I'm temped to get some more fish and have two ponds this year #Gardening #MiniPond #WaterInTheGarden
