Oh, and http://duckduckgo.com has been my go-to for a decade now, but I was so surprised to see #metacrawler still exists, isn't actually google, and it warmed my heart because it was where I went when I left the Yahoo search engine.

But I still think I will go with DuckDuckGo, and then to augment searches that are unsatisfying, try met a crawler next.

So in moving away from #Twitter, #meta and #google, I have rediscovered #MapQuest and #Metacrawler.

I always thought web crawler became http://metacrawler.com, which then became Google. Apparently not.

And Google maps is the main Google thing that I use. Mostly for tracking the traffic while I'm driving somewhere.

And I've looked up the ownership of Metarawler and http://MapQuest.com as well. They may be toxic and corporate, I don't know. But they aren't those #fascist #oligarchs ?

While I'm happy with #DuckDuckGo, I might try out #Metacrawler again, my go to after #AltaVista died and #Google was born.
