Most rules are OPTIONAL. Most mean you die at the drop of a hat, if you play as most AD&D players do. It's a ROLE play system, not a ROLL play system. Decisions you make, not the rolled dice, mean survival or death. Ok, the rolled die define the SPECIFICS of how bad you die, but there.

I managed to find this in a thrift store/op shop today. Only $6! It sells for about AU$100 on eBay. It is probably the first #TTRPG item I’ve found, to be honest. #MiddleEarth #MERP

On the road, she uses the elven name Nertë, which means nine, but the spiteful call her Nazgûla, which also means nine but is a reference to The Nine, specifically the nine ringwraiths. She's not very scary in face or expression, and some call her cute since if you ignore her hairy feet, she seems like a short teenage daughter of humans. Her hair is flaming red.

I really should stop doing that, but during my last spending spree on ebay (which I then had to have sent to my parents because I didn't check if the sellers actually would send to Poland) I got myself a copy of Perils on the Sea of Rhûn for reasons that are not quite clear to myself.
So now I am actually thinking about running a Middle-Earth Roleplaying game set in Dor Rhúnen.It's just outside the described parts of Middle-Earth enough...
