As far as sticker price goes, the recommended #vaccines for #kids in the #UnitedStates do not come cheap. The #hepatitisB shot, given within the first hours of life, can be purchased for ~$30. The #rotavirus vaccine costs $102 to $147 a dose. A full course of the vaccine that protects against #pneumonia & #meningitis runs about $1,000.

I give thanks to the NHS today, on its 75th birthday. If it weren't for the NHS, I wouldn't be 39, I would most likely have died shortly after birth due to a heart defect.
My second son would have likely died of #Meningitis at 4 months old.
If it weren't for the NHS, I'd either be dead or in perpetual debt to repay the hospital bills.
