Actress #MelindaDillon has died at age 83. Dillon is best known for her role as the mother of Ralphie in the holiday classic #AChristmasStory. She also had key roles in #CloseEncountersOfTheThirdKind and #HarryAndTheHendersons. Other notable film credits include #SlapShot, #AbsenceOfMalice, #ThePrinceOfTides, and #Magnolia. TV credits include #Bonanza, #TheJeffersons, #Space, #TheTwilightZone (1985), #TheClient, #PicketFences, #JudgingAmy and #Heartland, her final screen appearance in 2007.
