Serious question: are most white people really running around going like “It’s so cool that all these white or male characters are getting race or gender swapped”?
Like, I’ve seen so many redheads replaced with black people that it’s not even notable to me anymore. I don’t even bat an eye. But even though wokespotters make too much out of these changes for my tastes, it seems equally strange to see white people be like “awwww look at the cute little #Hollywood diversity hires” when I know for a fact that multiple fits would be thrown if, say, they turned #Wakanda into a Hispanic ethnostate rather than a white one, or if #TheJeffersons was remade to be about middle eastern immigrants.
