I would say that the program wouldn't be bad, if they just switch from electron, since you have to have it running to use it. Why not Qt, and you can still use it on Windows too.
Custom sounds are easy, just download it, and put it in a certain directory, restart program, choose and enjoy.
I am using "Kalih Box White". Probably a nice switch and this is the closest I am gonna get to hear it.
