Someone's finally making a documentary about (legendary independent music venue) Maxwell's.
Maxwell's may be the only place I discovered as a teenager that remained a meaningful social destination to me for .... decades afterwards. I hope they do it justice. (And with WFMU's Todd-o-Phonic Todd, Gaylord Fields, and Ira Kaplan in the mix, my optimism is high!)

The storied Hoboken music venue Maxwell's closed (for good) ten years ago this week. It was my home away from home for many years, and I will always think fondly of the many transformative nights I spent in this room throughout my teens, twenties, thirties, and (just barely) forties.
