@pallenberg Jens Spahn is re-elected as parliamentary group leader with 86.5% of the vote and calls it a “vote of confidence.” Apparently, in the CDU/CSU, being responsible for an unprecedented billion-euro disaster in mask procurement as health minister is enough to warrant a promotion. Where is the much-vaunted political accountability in all this? Anyone who squanders billions doesn’t belong at the helm of a parliamentary group—they belong in political retirement. It’s time to resign!
