  1. Y’all. I have a curated list of things that bring me joy plus bytes on design, code, accessibility, privacy, useful tools, and antifascism:

You can subscribe via RSS or email. Either to articles or the periodic bytes or both.

Some people like it. Others want to punch me in the face. But not because I’m a nazi. Maybe you’ll fit into the former group. Then we can like each other.

  2. Y’all. Recently I reimagined my newsletter and moved a self-hosted version of Listmonk. And over the weekend I sent my first email.

Here’s a link to the first issue. It’s my first pass; a work in progress. But the foundation feels solid.

Maybe you wanna subscribe via email or RSS so you can get some cool links. Or not. Whatevs.

  3. Writing makes me happy. And some of what I publish also makes others happy.

Every engagement, no matter how small, is an immense reward for me. It helps me feel like I’m not alone in the human experience.

So, thank you for inspiring me to write articles, essays, and even little posts here on Mastodon. I appreciate all of you.

  4. Something good happened this year with my writing. I said goodbye to Medium and hello to @write_as.

At first Medium was lovely. Then they went down the dark side of publishing with:

    1. Pay-to-win membership
    2. Editor-promoted of clickbait
    3. Account gatekeeping

I dive deeper in my piece. Please give it a read.
