Overview The City of Pella is a city in and a notable Dutch immigrant settlement of Marion County, Iowa, larger than the county seat at Knoxville to the southwest. Today, the community is associated with iconic windmills and the campus of Central College, while being bypassed by Route 163 to the south. Notable amenities include the Molengracht Canal, Vermeer Mill, Pella Historical Village, the local Central Park, Scholte Historical House and Gardens, and the Sunken Gardens Windmill.
