As a reader, I'm currently at a phase where I just can't like any book I read. I tried reading the first #Malazan book, The Futurological Congress and The Lost Man, but nope. They feel either too long, too boring or simply unintelligible. I think this is a side effect of reading a couple of *really* good books last month (The stand and The Martian Chronicles). I wanna invest myself in a fantastic book once again. Gonna try Norstrilia by Cordwainer Smith next.

Finished Dancer’s Lament. Unbelievable, how good this book is. Having read everything by Esslemont and Erikson up to this point, this novel is incredibly satisfying and fun. Loved every minute of it. Best Esslemont book yet. #Malazan #fantasy

I’ve returned to Malazan content, this time with book 1 of Esslemont’s Path to Ascendency, Dancer’s Lament. 40% in already, and INCREDIBLE. Ties into so much of what I’ve already read, including the first two Kharkanas Trilogy books. Yes, I DO need more #Malazan! #fantasy

Finished Fall of Light, Kharkanas Trilogy 2. Oh, that finish! Wow. Erikson knows how bring it home! A moving narrative. This series has made MBotF have so much more depth for me. Now if he'll just finish book 3 at some point... #Malazan #Kharkanas #fantasy

Fall of Light, 95%: Oh, this story is turning even more tragic than it was. I have to admit, I've found this one a bit longer than necessary - it has dragged, at times - but the culmination of all that has occurred is hitting home! #Malazan #fantasy

A few days from now my wife & I will be on our annual cruise vacation. Makes me think nostalgically of Malazan, as 2 years ago at this time I was reading Gardens of the Moon, loaded 3 more books just in case, and got off the cruise STILL reading Gardens of the Moon. LOL #Malazan

Finished Forge of Darkness, Kharakas Trilogy Bk 1. That... was... incredible! It only works if you've read Malazan Book of the Fallen & Novels of the Malazan Empire — but I have! So incredible & powerful, this backstory drama. I look forward to doing a review! #Malazan #fantasy
