  2. I love these books, and I loved the EXPERIENCE of READING these books. I will never forget that summer day, sitting on the porch, as I reached the final pages of the the third book, the tears pouring down my face as the sun shone, the birds sang, the breeze blew through the trees...

I used the tears as a reason to keep re-reading the pages, so as to postpone the ending.

"The companies won a bidding war for the trilogy, which is comprised of the novels “Oryx and Crake,” “The Year of the Flood,” and “MaddAddam.” The books tell the story of a global pandemic and the end of mankind, and the small group of survivors who are left to shepherd a new race to inherit the world. The series centers on Jimmy, a young boy disillusioned with the all-powerful corporations who rule civilization, whose best friend will develop the drug that wipes out humanity; Toby and Ren, two members of the cult “God’s Gardeners” who fight to survive on the margins of society; and Zeb, one of the founders of “God’s Gardeners.”"

  3. 1️⃣1️⃣ Oryx y Crake, Margaret Atwood (2003).

"Oryx y Crake" trilogia distopiko baten lehen atala da: #Maddaddam. Bertan, malthusianismoa eta ekofaxismoa nahasten dira, antikapitalismo eta antifaxismo sakonekin eta ironia tanta freskoekin.

Etikan eta filosofian oinarritzen ez den teknologiaren eta zientziaren kritika argitsua. Nobelak asmo existentzialista nabarmenak ditu, irakurlea irudi atsegina itzultzen ez duen ispilu baten aurrean jartzen dutenak.

Margaret Atwoodek ez dit inoiz huts egin.
