At another place in the walk the very muddy path was covered in the flowers dropped by a nearby tree. They made the mud quite beautiful.

At one stage of our walk we walked through masses of butterflies. It was lovely! I reckon they should rename the walk 'butterfly path' and then people would flock to it.

Today we went for a walk in the Macedon Ranges. This photo is of Sanitorium Lake which is a small artificial lake built for a tuberculosis hospital which was never built. Apparently koalas like the trees at the end of the lake though we didn't see any.

drove around the victorian central goldfields today and oh boy there's some loud hate for the proposed ausnet power lines
no idea about the issue yet but that protest page sure looks unhinged
