If you have deactivated go back. Reactivate leave one last message with your new #Mastodon account info & secure so no new follows can occur & then just park it. It doesn’t help #Elmo if you do it this way. #Twitter

@hugh Go back and #reactivate, unfollow all and remove tweets & DMs Lock and secure your account change your notification to a new unconnected email, remove your regular email and phone #. You can leave one tweet explaining where to find you on #Mastodon if you want and then just leave it. Your account is secure and it can’t easily be spoofed. #LockAndLeave Bonus if we manage to save the beast your old name is there for you to use😊

@protecttruth 👆This is why we #LockAndLeave our accounts. The only power we have is to deprive #advertisers of eyes so they will inturn either starve #Twitter into compliance or extinction. If you just #deactivate your account in 30 days it can be spoofed. Your info is gone but every @ reply ever directed at you now directs to a what ever bad actor or bot now has your name. #twittermigration #newbie #knitting
