TIL that the `/lib/systemd/systemd --user` process for a user with linger enabled does not automatically pick up group membership changes. Also, there does not appear to be a clean way to get it to pick up the changes, e.g. `systemctl --user reexec` doesn't work. Resorted to killing it and relogging in.

Last evening I tried to improve the #WikiTree profile of this potential Hessian soldier who fought in the US. Unfortunately a lot of profiles from this era barely contain primary sources but a lot of family lore and data copied from other trees instead. Maybe now those are separated from each other at least?
