The US District court filings are jaw dropping, especially the #CambridgeMA response to the Enbridge complaint, where they point out the “fatal flaw” of leaving #LincolnMA off the defendant/parties list even though it had & has legal standing.

@dynamic Anyone and everyone! Most impacted are #CambridgeMA & #LincolnMA residents, but this being a state issue (clearcut on #MA fish & wildlife designated “Priority Habitat of Rare Species”), all have an interest and should call/email.

urgent call-in campaign! Enbridge, #LincolnMA Conservation Director, & #CambridgeMA water dept scheduled a "site visit" of the Lincoln forest. The site visit is the last step before construction. The site visit has been scheduled, but the date of it is not disclosed.

#cambridgema #lincolnma muni staff have an as-yet unscheduled “closed” meeting with Enbridge at the publicly owned, publicly accessible site of Enbridge’s planned clearcut in the headwaters of Cambridge’s drinking water supply, on Priority Habitat of Rare Species as designated by #masswildlife. There’s been 0 public meetings on any of this; all behind closed doors.

Enbridge purports to be a good neighbor but sure showed contempt for #lincolnma

#LincolnMA was subjected to hostile corporate bullying by the likes of Enbridge, with its blindsiding order to obey or else, with the added insult of acting as if Lincoln has never had legal standing in the suit, on its own conservation easement, and thus must comply with less than 48 hour "emergency" notice of being given the agreement to sign. I'm not a lawyer but even I can see the procedural gaps. But maybe I have it all wrong and this isn't a #MiscarriageOfJustice. @universalhub .

@universalhub it’s not #lincolnma con com that should be the focus of outrage but rather who put them in that situation that should be the focus. Lincoln Con Com was thrown under the bus.

The #LincolnMA Conservation Commission is claiming an exemption to MA Open Meeting law based on an "emergency" for an agreement allowing Enbridge to immediate clearcut state-designated "Priority Habitat of Rare Species".

What is or was the emergency, and who claimed it? The judge? The Polluter? The Town Lawyer?

@universalhub residents of #LincolnMA & #CambridgeMA should be outraged that their Muni govs rubber stamped an issue of large public health concern (water!) behind closed doors with zero opportunity for public input/comment. Lincoln Con Com posted a "closed meeting" notice a single day before caving to the pollutor. Lincoln also hides public notices of tree cutting inside the woods next to sidewalks, hidden from everyone. There is 1 such hidden notice on a path to the proposed pollutor clearcut
