So I just read the short story: ”The Alchemist” by #PauloCoelho. Apparently it’s a favourite among #lightworkers, and was super popular, a bestseller at a time in the USA.

But even though I appreciate the unnerving enthusiatic optimism the book portrays, it was also so simple it was predictable all the way.

In a way the book was the perfect exercise in purity. There is a clear winner and a unitary path to get to the perfect goal and have a perfect life.

When I was a wee girl, sometimes when I couldn't sleep, I would lie on my bed with my head on the windowsill looking at the moon. I would breathe in the sweet dark summer air and fill my eyes with the moon's light. It always seemed so big and magical to me. I didn't know then what I do now about the moon's power, but then again, perhaps I did. I was pulled toward her for a reason, I think. I would call on her sometimes for comfort and she was always there for me. 🌝

Put your blessing and ritual items and stones in the sunlight to give them an extra boost of magic!

Imbolc is also the day the Cailleach gathers her firewood for the rest of the winter. Legend has it that if she intends to make the winter last a good while longer, she will make sure the weather on Imbolc is bright and sunny, so she can gather plenty of firewood to keep herself warm in the coming months. As a result, people are generally relieved if it is a day of foul weather, as it means the Cailleach is asleep, she will soon run out of firewood, and therefore winter is almost over.
