You can tell I'm a Dad.
I carry the Hello Kitty rucksack with pride.
In it, a bottle of water, a picnic blanket, a blanket for warmth, an Aerobie, a first aid kit, and some emergency Haribo.
I'm a responsible adult, and I'm driving, so on this occasion there is no hip flask of Ledaig in the front pocket.

CW: Tonight's alcohol
I've moved on from the wine.
I'm currently nursing an excellent Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja Cask Finish.
It's 46.3%, but it doesn't say if it's un-chill-filtered, nor if it's natural colour. Couldn't really say about the chill-filtering, but that colour has a distinct reddish hue, and I am suspicious.
Nonetheless, I'm very much enjoying it. The subtle peatiness is there, and the Rioja is providing a welcome sweetness.
I'm a fan of the Tobermory distillery anyway, and at £38 this is superb value.

Had this tonight from the peaty advent calendar, a Ledaig finished in Rioja (Spanish wine) casks. Delicious! Very fruity.
Adding water made the fruit notes more… fake? Kinda odd. Still not bad but much better without adding it.

Whisky Advent Day 23: Ledaig 11 Year Old - Batch 15 (48%)
Nice smoke on the nose. On the palate, more smoke and spice, and maybe the tiniest touch of citrus.
Tastes like a delicious campfire. :)
