  1. I didnt love the belt-loop lacking sheath that came with my knife(right), so i tried to make a new one(left) despite never making one before.

I didnt have a buckle, so i just used a magnet snap. I mostly use it for whittling, so the magnet should be fine for now, but does anyone have any buckle suggestions?

  2. I think I'm going to spend today in my studio, finishing a few #bookbinding projects, prepping a new crucible for Shibuichi and #sandcasting, and/or starting another tiny #leatherworking project. In other words, I'm treating myself to an art and creativity day. I feel like I really need it. (1/2)

  3. 101 uses for a #leatherworking toolkit..

#31: putting a new cord in your boat's #ensign. Waxed thread and big blunt needles being ideal for sewing the eye and toggle into place at either end.

  4. My first ever attempt at a leather belt bag, using scaps from a local leather shop.

I wish I had a more fitting buckle, but I had to use what I already own(low income). Hopefully I can get different buckles soon!

  9. Crafters of Fedi! I need your help! :)

    Edit: Solved! :)

I have a much beloved used-daily journal cover that has two straps that latch onto these ball-type thingies.

In the first photo is the one that's still working, the second one is where the ball has come off the thingy (and lost!). It obviously screwed on (I didn't realize that or I'd have been checking them).

What are these called? How might I find more of them? I figure they must be common in #leatherworking maybe?

  10. After really enjoying using the traveler's notebook I built for #solorpg use recently*, I've just now built a smaller version for regular note taking. While I'm a huge fan of @obsidian, not everything needs to be digital and I want to try some analog brainstorming and possibly journaling again.
