@DavidGoldfield Yep. I'm hearing all the great things about #Leasey, but, alas, it requires using JAWS as one's primary screen reader and I'm no longer doing that. The flexibility and responsiveness of #NVDA just can't be beat these days.

CW: Jaws screen Reader constructive criticism
Even the help file is in CHM format.
I'm not sure even the format is maintained by Microsoft or whoever created it.
I guess JAWS really need to upgrade their help system to be in HTML, just like NVDA and even @hartgenconsult #Leasey. (8/11)

So I have a #Leasey story to tell. I had to restore my computer again recently to fix numerus problems, particulary with audio. So I would not have been able to do this as seemlessly without the Leasey back up and restore manager. I was able to restore all my scripts and JAWS settings, and Also restore key settings for several of my programs, making getting back up to where I needed to be, much easier. It even restored several sound packs, making configuration unnecessary. Thank you bryan for making such an excellent utility! #LeaseyLove

@DavidGoldfield @sclower @app Yes, I am. Version 10 is the best one yet! I love using #ChatGPT via #Leasey. It's so much easier than trying to fittle with the app or website.

So here’s one of those keyboard shortcuts I probably should have known about already after over 10 years of using #JAWS, but didn’t! When I press Alt+Windows+S, JAWS announces “meeting status unavailable”. This appears to be a global shortcut and doesn’t seem to change no matter what I do from my (admittedly very brief) testing. FS Companion says that the keystroke is used to toggle between the local machine and the remote machine in a tandem session, which is incorrect. Anyone know what this does? I’m also using #Leasey if that makes a difference. #BlindTech #ScreenReader @freedomscientific

loving how this #Leasey intigration with Chat GPT works without having to open another application, just a couple keystrokes to ask a question, and you get the answer straight away, even without the added Overly friendly Eddie stuff, just the answer with linked refferences.

It was really nice to get this feedback from Hartgen Consultancy themselves about my recent demo of the #Leasey #ChatGPT integration. I'm genuinely loving this, the proofreading tools have massively speeded up my work. Here is the episode if you're interested in hearing it in action https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/rnib-tech-talk/id1151878596?i=1000705406232

liking one of the #Leasey Chat gpt tools where I can load text of an article into this thing and use the tool to simplify the article into friendly language. And it even goes further by adding links as refference points that one can click on for more indepth reading. I Tried this with a few articles from #JustTheNews, in fact.

Hi there #Blind people out there, for any #Leasey users who use #Tweesecake as there Mastodon client, I've updated the default keymap to be more friendly for Leasey users. Its got some commands that work around the keystrokes for favoriting, unfavoriting, and also opening up conversations in Mastodon. Here it is, i would have updated the JFW one, but the JFW one doesn't have the options in the keymap file to update it like the default keymap does:

I am taking #Leasey for a spin. All I have to say is WOW! It's like a Swiss army knife for productivity for blind computer users! Very impressive!

not sure if it is #JFW, or #Leasey that is causing this, but for the past few days from time to time when I open a page in google crome jaws takes a while to respond, and a lot of the time it crashes and eventually restarts. #NVDA isn't doing this. I need to figure out why this is happening, and how I can fix it, as this is not cool at all, and like I said it just started happening a few days ago, and it doesn't happen all the time. it is rather randum.
