Quick question: in the word 'بورجر' in MSA, is the ج pronounced as usual (/ʒ/ or /dʒ͜/), or is it /g/ as in 'gift'? My textbook transcribes it as būrgar, but otherwise transcribes ج as j :neofox_thinking:
I thought Forvo could help, but the only recording for 'بورجر' cuts off right before the sound in question :neofox_thumbsdown:

What is the connotation or sentiment or the word غريب in Arabic?
#Duolingo teaches it as an adjective meaning "weird"
Is it insulting or more neutral? Can it be a compliment?
