    . . . to the Laysan Honeycreeper in the original post. Both are extinct. The Molokai Creeper is usually considered a subspecies of the nearly identical Maui #β€˜Alauahio (aka Maui Creeper), a greenish-yellow bird. The #Laysan Honeycreeper’s sad story is incredible, and worth looking up.
