  1. Au su des développements récents en IA, en sommes-nous à devoir coder les lois de la robotique d'Asimov ?

Semblerait que oui! Je n'ai *aucune* confiance en Sam Altman et ses semblables.

Should we start implementaing Asimov's laws of robotics given the current AI developments ?

To me it's a yes. No confidence whatsoever in Sam Altman and the like.

  2. The #bloomberg robots.txt file not only lists the #LawsOfRobotics, but also encourages anyone reading it to apply for a job!

...This said, I might also as well say that I see little chance for this happening, the globe being ruled by #oligarchs following the principal of #plutocracy and #capitalism (no, I am not a #Marxist;)) and #autocrats

Even a non-#superintelligence with access to the sensors of the #IoT will easily be aware of any threat to its existence and will find ways to circumvent the #LawsOfRobotics.

This first #ArtificialGeneralIntelligence was built by humans, so...

...responses have been a combination of denial, mockery, and resignation so darkly comical that it's deserving of an Oscar."

In short, according to #Tegmark, #AGI is a *very real threat*, and human society isn't doing nearly enough to stop it — or, at the very least, isn't ensuring that #AGI will be properly *aligned with human values and safety*."

    [I.e. #Asimov's #LawsOfRobotics at an absolute minimum]

I agree 100% with this analysis, as posted in earlier threads:

    "#Tegmark..."

...this way, many of the supposedly far-fetched statements can be seen from a different angle.

#JudgementDay might be a long way off and may even, hopefully, never come.

However, not even hardcoding the #LawsOfRobotics into #LLMs is, IMO, reckless.
There is enough #SciFi literature to imagine what could go wrong. We have read about the pitfalls of robotics (#AI) just #Asimov's could come up with. And there, these safeguards were in place.

    Once the #AI...

“I will not harm you unless you harm me first”!

The beginning of a (dumb?) #Skynet?

The #robots in the #IRobot movie were more intelligent.

    Whatever happened to #Asimov's #LawsOfRobotics?

    "First Law
A #robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm...

    Third Law
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law."

I'm going to use this for all my reviews from now on.

The fact that it absolves itself because "I am not a robot" is funny and sinister and somebody should definitely write a Netflix series about this.

(Also: did it just insult itself?)

  10. Clark laid it out in his #LawsOfRobotics, decades before the technology matured. Robots must not be allowed to kill humans or leave us in danger of harm. Simple as that:
