  1. Heck yes, paint pen! Very satisfied with this first round of words for my goth lawn poetry set. For the next slat, I will try some chalk guidelines as recommended by the live-laugh-love sign painting girlies, altho I don't mind the uneven handwriting for this purpose.

    Next challenge: cutting them into separate words.

  2. #LawnPoetry update: after considering many great ideas about materials, I'm using 2" white faux wood slats because a kind stranger from craigslist offered to drop off his old window blinds for free.

    Landfill diversion / anti-consumerism: 1
    Avoiding PVC: 0

  3. Doing size tests for the lawn poetry concept.... I thought 1.5"/4cm would be big enough but I fear the words would get lost in grass. I thought 3.5"/9cm would be too bulky but it might be just right. Going to sleep on it
