Feh. Starting another week or two of being blind in one eye. Every now and then one of 'em goes foom.
Fortunately it's almost never both at once. Only one time so far!
But I often get more writing done like this, so there's that at least.

I love Bubbies pickles. They're naturally fermented (no vinegar). They're crunchy (unlike when I make them at home), they're perfectly seasoned and spiced, and it's super convenient to buy them.
But they've gone from being $8 a jar, to $12 a jar, to now $17.50 CAD a jar at the supermarket.
$18 for a jar of pickles is a lot of money when regular pickles cost about $9 a jar...
If I had the room here, I'd start fermenting my own, or at least I'd make the cheaper/easier refrigerator pickles- it's hard to find half-sours here in the Vancouver area.

To whom do I complain about Whatever Is Going On with regard to plants/weather/allergens? Because I had a headache on Sunday, and now I'm at the point where my nose is raw from blowing it and sneezing. This is Not Reasonable! 🤧

I am barely hanging on at work with the rapid turnarounds that require a lot of code rewrites and leave little time for validation, and now another group is trying to butt in and wants my code to automate some of their work as well.
Do people not understand that that's likely to take another six months? I'm starting to consider dusting off my resume again.

Stellt ein paar Neurodivergente ein, die können euch sofort sagen, was ihr alles ungenau, krude oder falsch beschrieben, definiert oder sonstwie gebosselt habt.
Und nebenbei: Walls of text in Briefen, die den eigentlichen Sachverhalt verwässern, bringen niemandem was. Lernt lieber, Sachverhalte auf den Punkt zu bringen und richtig auszuformulieren. -

Today is just a bad delivery day. Our dinner delivery was all sorts of wrong, the mail carrier left all our mail in the exterior rack meant for newspapers and magazines so it fell all over the porch, and a FedEx delivery that was put on a truck 20 minutes away at 4:51 AM isn’t here and it’s no longer marked “out for delivery” but “pending” with an alert advising “no scheduled delivery date available at this time.”
Did someone hang a “kick me” sign on our house? #kvetching

-Yes, Shaw's final evaluation was heart-warming, but I didn't think quite enough groundwork had been laid for it in the earlier part of the season. It was a crucial bit too radical a change from everything else we'd seen of him.

Please forgive a bit of #kvetching.
I was laid off, so I'm entitled to a refund of part of my kids' school tuition via insurance bought through the school.
The insurance co. required a form signed by my former employer attesting to the circumstances of my unemployment. I got it.
They just told me I have to get the same form filled out a second time because I only put one of my kids' names on it, an understandable "error" since it says "child's name," not "children's names".
This is absurd. 1/2
