Die Kommission hatte im vergangenen Jahr eine Reform ihrer Datenschutzvorschriften vorgeschlagen,
die ursprünglich Pläne zur Abschaffung der lästigen Banner enthielt.Lobbyisten großer Konzerne – und damit auch die EU – wollen sie jedoch nicht abschaffen, da sie weiterhin Daten absaugen wollen.
