Am 18. Juni 2026 hat der Rat der Europäischen Union seine fünfte Kompromissfassung zum Digital Omnibus veröffentlicht. Aus dem Text gestrichen: Artikel 88b der geplanten DSGVO-Novelle. Genau jene Vorschrift also, die das ewige Klickritual auf Cookie-Bannern durch ein automatisiertes, maschinenlesbares Browsersignal hätte ersetzen sollen.
