Luckily, solutions like #EndlessKey from @EndlessOS exist where we can deliver rich, curated, offline-capable self-guided learning resources to kids on Chromebooks.
When kids' devices are online at school, they can download as much interesting content as their Chromebook’s storage can handle. Then when they’re offline or using expensive Internet, they can still get a similar experience of an “offline Internet.”

Yet another K12 ransomware cyberattack. Maybe this whole local-first computing thing needs to catch on? Yet again, if students had Endless Key, they could have still had access to digital materials and self-guided learning content even though their school’s Internet connection was disabled.

Conversations promoting #BroadbandForAll have been happening for 20 years—and we’re still 10 years out.

Learn how we’re addressing the #DigitalDivide with #EndlessKey, presented at #SXSWEdu.

Apparently a cyberattack took my home state’s largest school district offline for a few days, canceling classes and requiring kids to make the days up similar to snow days.
It makes me wonder: what if the district had something like the offline learning content we provide with @EndlessOS & #EndlessKey? Kids could at least continue to access supplementary material, even if they were home for logistical reasons.
