Heute vor 110 Jahren hat die deutsche Kolonialjustiz Rudolf Manga Bell in der damaligen Hauptstadt der Kolonie Kamerun, Douala, ermordet. Manga Bell hatte in Deutschland Jura studiert und sich mit rechtlichen Mitteln gegen die von den Deutschen geplante Enteignung und Vertreibung der Duala gewehrt.

In Kamerun gilt Manga Bell bis heute als maßgeblicher Vorkämpfer des antikolonialen Widerstands. In Deutschland weiß kaum jemand von ihm. Er wurde 41 Jahre alt.
