The “Kombilösung Karlsruhe” is a major urban transport project in #Germany, combining an underground tram beneath #Kaiserstrasse with the redesign of Kriegsstrasse. DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH, together with BUNG Ingenieure AG, designed the Kriegsstrasse section, transforming 1.8 km of the B10 highway into a green avenue with a new above-ground tram line and a two-tube road tunnel. The #tram connects to existing lines with five new stops and improved crossings for pedestrians and cyclists. The tunnel includes four ramps to ease traffic flow. Services covered design, planning, and traffic management.
