What I find hard to understand is how the UK can justify having any relationship with Israel at all given that a racially-based Israel couldn’t be further removed from the values the UK claims to hold. Then again Thatcher’s UK never joined the sanctions against South Africa either, despite the fact that there is no universe in which apartheid was ever right and despite the decades of suffering it caused”
