There is still an ongoing meta-discussion of whether the debate on changing the title was closed correctly [1], and there's a list of scholarly and expert opinions [2].
A side benefit of the debate is increasing awareness that there is an academic field #GenocideStudies [3] with peer-reviewed journals such as #JournalOfGenocideResearch [4].
