Joe Hill moved to America from Sweden at age 23 in 1902. He worked as a traveling day laborer, taught himself English, and preceded to write PROTEST SONGS SO SCATHING AND EFFECTIVE that copper magnates had him tried on false charges and killed only 4 years into his songwriting career. His final words were "Don't mourn. Organize" And people did.

Sometimes when I start a book by an author I like, I'll go in blind without really knowing anything about what's ahead. I'll avoid reading the book jacket so I can enjoy the story as it unfolds without any preconceptions. And yeah... I know there's a dragon on the cover of King Sorrow by Joe Hill.
