First up we have “Joe Hill” AKA “I Dreamed I Saw Joe Hill Last Night” (https://youtu.be/B0bezsMVU7c?is=2rFFxK2Bi2FWEc0W) performed by performer/lawyer/NFL football player/activist Paul Robeson for Scottish miners in their union canteen during a 1949 trip to the UK. “Joe Hill” was written & composed by American composer Earl Robinson in 1936 about the American trade unionist Joe Hill who was allegedly framed on a murder charge and executed in 1915.
