Which reminds me.

A while ago, I saw, in a #JCDecaux digital sign, a little screen-viewing PCB assembly sticking just over the active corner of the display panel.

It's purpose was/is (I hope) to monitor the display for 'stuck' content, and to shut down the player or the video feed if it is stuck. Normal content changes at some fixed rate - was usually once every seven seconds.

This gizmo is an idea I had years and years ago when working at #Eye Corp, and it was something I could n ot get them to develop. Who did it at

I had just tuned in about a minute before everything went South. I was so glad I was there to witness that. I love the behind-the-scenes stuff at no agenda. Prestream is a wonderful moment in time like other live performances.
