Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun 🌞 I have just got up after a nice long lie, courtesy of Grant and the parrots. It's a beautiful sunny morning and apart from Jadie screeching at something unknown at the moment, very calm.🙂
We actually had a wee breakthrough with Jadie yesterday morning when I saw her go down and actually stand on the rope next to her food bowl to eat instead of hanging upside down on the side of the cage like a bat. It's taken her three years to be comfortable enough to do that 🥴
She's still screeching at something. It's probably the fact I don't have my hair tied up as usual. In trying to take some of the weight off my neck I did a ponytail chop, which I have done ever since lockdown, but this time didn't realise the scissors were blunt as butter. Let's just say the result was a scraggy shorter look than I was hoping for. I'll need to get a professional to sort it out for me, but for now I'm rocking the mad cat(or parrot) lady vibe 😂😐
Plans for today are some Stardew Valley with coffee then a bimble around Lidl when Grant gets back from his birding outing, and some work on the competition toy later, which hopefully I can finish up next week.

It's bath time! 😂
I spray mist the parrots every two days and Ziggy quite often will then bathe in her water bowl like this, spluttering and sneezing.

Update on wet/dry parrot mix Jadie stopped trying to eat and ended up sitting cuddling her face against a toy, which I recognise as a self comforting sign when she is upset, so I have swapped her dry bowl back in and she is now eating happily again. That girl - she's a strange one. 🤷🏻♀️

Someone has had a bath ☺️ Look at all those pin feathers! You can see over Jadie's eye where her odd bald patch was which finally has feathers growing in. If this year is anything like the last two, she will go bald over her eyes in about mid winter again.
