Israeli breakfast really is the best.
From the sandwiches I grew up on — the kind I’ve never found anywhere else in the world — to the full-blown spread with eggs, cheeses, salads, dips, and warm bread straight from the oven.
Sure, burrata is technically Italian.
But for me?
A good Israeli breakfast isn’t about where each ingredient is from —
It’s about fresh, real food. Good bread.
Something salty or creamy.
Some kind of veg.
And always, always, something you can לנגב — to “wipe” with your bread and make the perfect bite.
Goat cheese with olive oil? I wipe.
Tomatoes with labaneh? I wipe.
