The #InteroperableEuropeAct has been adopted in the European Parliament plenary with 524 votes in favour, 18 against and 97 abstentions.
In spite of ambiguities in the wording and the exclusion of the #FreeSoftware Community from the governance of the regulation, decisions makers heard our demands.

#InteroperableEuropeAct - its current draft from the Council excludes relevant stakeholders from contributing to a more interoperable and innovative Europe. There is also a lack of improved wording in the area of monitoring & budgeting.

The European Committee of the Regions has just adopted its position on the #InteroperableEuropeAct.
It has failed in recognising the importance of #FreeSoftware for interoperability. This underlines the relevance of the participation of the Free Software community in the Interoperable board.

Discussion on the #InteroperableEuropeAct sounds very good at #fosdem, even though much of it goes over my head. It sounds like a good idea to improve interoperability across "[software] solutions", but also like a huge complex regulatory thing that I don't want to get involved in. 🤯
