Had a good birthday today. Went to my sister for celebrations, took this picture of one of her pet rats.

This camera is great fun. We went to the beach today. It didn't feel as bad to bring a camera when it didn't have a massive lens. Got some pictures of family and a few over the sea. I'm still getting used to this lens, you can just about make out the mainland on the horizon.

So I ended up getting a new camera. The first in a while. So far i really like it. Not sure if I'm going to be taking more pictures, but I like that it's by necessity flawed. You get what you get and that's the point. So far I got some pics of the kids and this one from the garden. Hoping to take it out and play around some more with the settings in the coming week.

Might be a bad take, but having tried a vintage Polaroid with modern film for a few shots now. I kind of want to get an instax 🫣 😂 . I like the physical image, I'm ok with tha lack of setting, it forces a type of photography I'm not great at, but think I would like. From what I've heard though instax is a much more stable film stock at the moment. Also being quicker and less sensitive to for example cold or light after exposure seem like great QoL improvements.
