This from earlier today is trickier 🧐

It's very likely a masked bee in genus Hylaeus.

From the shape & colour of the face markings & legs, I slightly favour H hyalinatus, the hairy-masked bee (🇩🇪 Mauer-Maskenbiene), but H leptocephalus, H communis etc. may also be options.

When the larger arthropods refuse to come out & play, attention turns to the tinier garden creatures 🕵️‍♂️

This small sap or pollen beetle is in genus Cychramus, most likely C luteus, the Brauner Glanzkäfer in 🇩🇪

True to its name, it was making the most of the goldenrod before I picked it up.
