@javahippie Ich habe ein #Tuxedo #InfinityBook Pro 15" Intel Gen9.
Ausser dass ich mich das nächste mal für die AMD Variante entscheiden würde bin ich damit sehr zufrieden. Die Bildqualität ist für mich top und der Lüfter ist meistens kaum bis nicht zu hören. Dem sein Verhalten und das der CPU kann man aber auch über das Tuxedo Control Center konfigurieren.
Bist du an der #JavaLand? Ich habe es dabei, dann kannst du da gerne mal einen Blick drauf werfen.

Placed an order for a @tuxedocomputers InfinityBook, finally, after a ton of deliberation 😄
Took a moment as I wasn't sure if I was going to grab a Macbook or this, as I'll always eventually need a Mac for a complete workflow. That being said, I prefer Linux for a lot of things and I'll probably not be using it as much as my primary work machine (MBP M3 14") that I use daily.
The InfinityBook looks awesome, has great specs and was an incredibly good price (not least when compared to the Macbook).
Has anyone got one of the gen 9s? Are you running the Tuxedo OS on it or did you throw something else onto it? I'm considering using Fedora.

Hat hier jemand Interesse ein gebrauchtes #Tuxedo #InfinityBook Pro 13 v2 käuflich zu erwerben? Das Gerät ist aus 2017/18, hat eine 256GB Samsung M.2-SSD eingebaut, den Akku habe ich ebenfalls erneuert und ein Netzteil ist natürlich auch am Start.

Das Gerät habe ich über das Studium einige Jahre lang genutzt, es funktioniert problemlos, nur der Akku ist etwas schwach auf der Brust. TuxedoOS hab ich kürzlich erst installiert, so würde ich es auch belassen.

Here's my mini-review of my new @tuxedocomputers #InfinityBook 14 Pro gen-8.
The good:
- The laptop feels solid and well made, very good build quality.
- Thermals and performance are great, barely seeing the CPU temp hit 60C under a stress test.
- Hardware video encoding works really well, even for video confs.
- Great touchpad, maybe the nicest I've had on a non-mac laptop, and I'd say rivalling the mac ones.
- Nice and crisp screen.
- Just in general quite happy with it. -

@musicmatze @veloren, compiled using the nightly #rust, tested working but with an indistinguishable difference from the #flatpak version. It still floats somewhere around 10~15 FPS on low graphics setting. It is however perfectly playable on minimal but if I increase anything to make it more visually appealing, I'm right back to <15 again.
No worries, as I said before, it's not where I would expect to ever play it. Always good to test though, hopefully it's useful. If it helps, these test were done on the #InfinityBook S14v5 with i7-10510U running #funtoo using Mesa 20.2.4 and Vulkan 1.3.236 in an X11 #e16 session. -
@musicmatze @veloren I've tried it on my #InfinityBook S14v5 using the #flatpak version in #gentoo and found it almost unplayable with graphics set to low. My FPS was far better than 1 but still quite jittery at usually the lower end of 10~15.
