My pieced orca quilt top is finished! (mostly*) I've cut the corners off a few other quilts, but it really works here to make the life preserver seem more round
*I have ordered some fabric to make bias tape that I'll add so it looks like the rope on the life preserver, but it's not going to arrive for a while and I want to get started on something else. Never a dull moment!

Have added 4 circling orca blocks but it looks like a lot of Y-seams are in my future to make all of this go together
I have another border planned but this quilt is getting big fast

The center of this quilt is _finally_ together and it’s time to start the orca blocks

Because I couldn’t figure out how to improv the orca blocks I’ll be adding later, the letters for this quilt needed to be graphed. It’s wild how much longer scrappy graphed letters take than scrappy improv letters
