Finished all the quilting on bob’s new bag, so all that’s left is trimming, binding, and assembly.

The main pieces of the bag are made of leftovers from making two of his shirts, and the strap is made of reclaimed fabric from another of his shirts that finally died beyond mending. I did offer to do more interesting piecing, but he wanted squares. He also chose the quilting pattern (straight lines, making more squares). The fabric prints are Water Dreaming by Juliette Nampijinpa Brown and Bush Potato Dreaming by Justine Nakamarra Nelson.

This was the thing I was trying to topstitch with topstitching thread previously ( https://sunny.garden/@kake/117084362619678800 ), but when that didn’t work he chose to have a variegated thread instead, and it turned out pretty nice. (Ignore the chalk lines; they’ll wash off when the bag first gets washed.)

The final phase of the linen chaos quilt! Stitching extra quilt lines with geometrical designs. I started it with the light colour which I like on the neutral side, but which looked too chaotic on the already pretty chaotic chaos side. I switched to blue to see how that looks, and I think it's better, so I'm switching to that.
