Soon, very soon, I'll introduce my Russian lady to some other of my other cohabitants.

Can't wait to load the Ural with photographic gear like tripod, (LF) cameras, black cloth etc and go to places in the vicinity for a few shots.

There is a lot of space on board. As that is what she was built for 85 years ago. Carry men and gear (to the front) through every terrain you can think of, in any weather, in any cirumstances.

Now that my lab/darkroom is in (almost) perfect order again, this should be great fun.

And of course my love from Irbit will also get pictured in one or two photographs. 😁

My Ural IMZ 650 moved in yesterday.

I got another Ural in parts (almost). 4 large, fat, heavy boxes altogether - gearbox, export-motor, carburator, tools, oil and tons of other stuff...

She (!) will keep me busy for some years, I guess. Which is good.

Some crucial parts have been improved or replaced by better ones before though - like e.g. the alternator.

How shall I call her? Uri? Swetlana? Tatjana? Taisija? Any prposals?

My last boxer, a true comrade and brother in arms for 16 years, looked and was a little different. 😁

But everything has its time. (Ecclesiastes 3)
