From NC’s Weather Authority on FB:
JUST IN: Hyde County has lifted the evacuation order in Ocracoke for everyone, including visitors, starting tomorrow morning. However, you can only access the island via the Swan Quarter or Cedar Island Ferries from the mainland, as the Hatteras/ Ocracoke Island ferry remains suspended until further notice due to Highway 12 closure.
Residents and property owners can return today along with essential personnel.

From Hyde County Public Information on FB: Ocracoke Village has some minor flooding so far. Hwy 12 is still covered in sand and water at the north end, and the dunes have been flattened. We will not know the extent of the damage to the highway until after the water recedes. Below are pictures from the village this morning.
